This Kendall home was built in the late 1960’s and still had it’s original windows & doors. They were standard awning windows and sliding glass doors installed in those times. As part of a complete exterior remodel the new homeowner decided on replacing them with single-hung impact windows (a.k.a. hurricane windows) and impact sliding glass doors.
The older window openings in the kitchen and master bedroom were enlarged to accommodate sliding glass doors, bringing in plenty of natural light from the backyard. All sliding glass doors and windows installed are impact resistant and meet Miami-Dade County’s High-Velocity Wind Code for impact windows & doors. The job was completed with a smooth stucco finish and exterior paint.
