This nice cottage home was in need of a new roof after several patch jobs and a huge leak in the middle of the dining room. The home was located in Southwest Ranches, just west of Davie, FL. The homeowner chose an architectural shingle (a.k.a. dimensional shingle), similar to the one previously installed, giving the home a fresh new look and a nice texture to their roof with the architectural shingles.
Below is a gallery of a small new roof on a townhouse in Margate. The homeowners had applied a sealer over the existing shingles in an effort to stop the leaks, but eventually had to replace the entire roof. Once we received HOA approval on shingle style & color, the roof was simple and quick, leaving the homeowners very satisfied.
This shingle roof in Ft Lauderdale was a little long-in-the-tooth by the time the homeowners gave Rausa Builders Corp. a call, but we were able to keep costs down and acquire another satisfied customer! The roof was a simple shingle to shingle replacement with a flat roof area over the terrace.
Below are photos of a 3400 sq ft Architectural Shingle Roof we just completed in the Kendall Area. The home had an atrium in the center with an opening all the way through the roof that the homeowner wanted sealed off with future plans of adding the area as living space below. Once the atrium was sealed, the pool was covered with plastic to keep any roofing debris from landing inside and we began to remove the old shingle roof.
There was minor decking and fascia damage that need to be replaced prior to 30 Felt and Tin Cap being installed. Finally the new architectural shingle was installed giving the new roof a nice texture over it’s large planes.
The homeowners of this 1965 home in Lauderdale Lakes needed a new roof. They decided on the more economical option, which was to replace their Flat Tile Roof with a 3-Tab Shingle Roof. A great choice as long as your community (local HOA or City) allows shingle roofs. It’s always a good idea to check with them because they may require a certain type of roof or color, etc.
We assured the homeowners that Tiles are only “Decorative” and explained that what makes your home water-tight is the roofing paper underneath. The roof was in pretty bad shape, requiring rotted decking & fascia replacement. The gallery below shows step-by-step photos of the roof replacement process.
We recently installed a new Tamko Heritage Dimensional Shingle Roof at this home in West Miami. The homeowners chose the perfect color & style to compliment their home. Certified roofing contractors, Rausa Builders Corp, stripped down the roof to the decking, removing all old shingles and roofing paper and installed new 30 Felt and Tin-Cap the same day. The home was left water tight while awaiting Tin-Cap & Shingle-In-Progress inspection. After passing these inspections the new dimensional shingle was installed and final inspection was called. All debris from the job were hauled away and disposed of as with all of our roof replacement projects.
The gallery below shows before, during and after photos of the new dimensional shingle roof installation.
When the owners of this 3700 sq ft home in Palmetto Bay called Rausa Builders Corp to re-roof their home they had multiple leaks and the roof covered in a tarp to prevent damage inside the home. Being such a large roof, the most economical way to replace it would be to replace the existing Flat Cement Tile with a 3-Tab Shingle Roof.
Below are photos documenting the process of replacing a shingle and flat roof in the Kendall area.
