We recently added a new covered patio to this home in Kendall. The homeowners purchased their pre-construction home in 2012 and wanted to add outdoor space.

The new covered outdoor patio adds an additional 500 sq ft of outdoor entertaining space with paver floors, ceiling fans, a bar & sink. The Dining Room window was converted to Double French Doors, giving access to the covered patio through he Dining Room and Guest Bathroom.

The roof on the covered patio was built to match the pitch of the main structure and covered with the same double roll cement roof tile.

Decking & Flat Roof Replacement

Cap sheet installation

The homeowners of this property in North Miami postponed their flat roof replacement for too long. This allowed water to penetrate through the roofing paper, causing excessive damage to the underlying decking which required replacement as well.

The gallery below shows before, during and after photos of the roof replacement process. You will also see the new decking installed prior to the 75 Felt and Cap Sheet.

Finished Birchwood Architectural GAF Timberline Shingle Roof

This homeowner in Miami’s Kendall neighborhood contacted Rausa Builders for their roof replacement needs. Their shingle & flat roofs were both old, weathered and well overdue for replacement. The tongue & groove in the rear patio roof had termite damage and was also completely replaced.
