Driveway Installation Process:
Lime Rock Foundation
After preliminary designs & markings meet our client’s satisfaction the sod and dirt is removed from the designated area. The area is then filled and compacted with a thick layer of lime rock which makes the foundation for the driveway pavers.
Concrete Sand for Leveling
The next layer is filled with concrete sand, necessary for leveling and creating a smooth area for the pavers to be installed over.
Finishing Sand & Retaining Wall
Driveway pavers or travertine pavers are installed, compacted and sealed tightly together with a concrete retaining wall. Finishing Sand is then applied over the pavers to fill all gaps between pavers, interlocking them together creating a solid yet flexible driveway surface. This also allows for easy paver replacement should one ever break or crack in the future.
Driveway & Travertine Paver Sealant
Optional but highly recommended is the addition of 2 coats of paver sealant giving the pavers or travertine a mild shine and extra protection.

This is a complete remodel with multiple additions to the original structure and roof. We built an addition to the entrance of the home requiring a new roof and decorated support columns, giving the home a complete new look by itself. We also added part of a dettached garage to the homes living space and keeping half of the garage for storage. The addition of the previously detached garage to the home added an additional 900 sq ft of living space. The original concrete floor had to be cut to run new electrical and plumbing to accomodate the interior remodeling design. The home was completed with an all new look and new roof.
These clients hired Rausa Builders, Corp. to accent their beautiful home with a modern Travertine Paver Driveway, an excellent accent to the homes exterior.
